First off I’d like to share some exciting news from EMI that will allow us to continue to help engineers become effective managers and powerful leaders. We have two new instructors for our popular people skills course, the Engineering Management Accelerator. Dax Hoff, P.E. is a practicing engineer who is currently building an engineering business, and Erica Lee Garcia P. Eng. is a professional engineer with over 15 years’ experience in automotive manufacturing, mining, non-profit management and entrepreneurship. At EMI, we are focused on ensuring that our instructors have industry experience and knowledge to ensure that we are providing knowledge, advice, and strategies that can be transferred back to the job.
We’re also excited to announce that we are launching a project management skills course in Q1 2020. The Project Management Accelerator will be delivered in a similar fashion to our EMA course, but will be focused on PM skills including scope, budgeting, estimating, work-breakdown structure, risk identification, and more. More details coming soon!
