SUMMARY
Decarbonization is an ultimate goal .Renewables is one of the important tool to reach this goal. We should surely follow a decarbonization strategy including improvements of renewables.But it seems that improvement of renewables may not be enough to avoid climate change effects.If so what to do ,First of all we must be aware of real energy consumption situation we are in .During the COP 23, we have heard a lot of discussion about tranzition to zero carbon future that is necessery to avoid negative climate change effects.It has also been a common approach that in order to have a chance at avoiding the potentially devaststing effects of climate change ,humanity must transform its energy production to nearly carbon- free by 2050.Experts agreed that we must be away from using burning fuels to reach zero carbon World.In this article, the main aim to discuss possibility of zero or very low carbon future considering current energy sources. We also consider the difference between renewables support policy and transition to low carbon economy.Therefore it is also worth to consider decarbonizing not only electricity,but also heat, and transportation fuels possibility .
We wrote this article not for pro or against any kind of energy sources. We aimed to put a realistic approach what to do being aware of current energy consumption situation and greenhouse emmision reduction goals.
